Rebuilding a social investing platform
Parrot Finance hired Latent to rebuild its social investing platform across web and mobile. We took it from product design through development and deployment, then handed the finished codebase back.
What we built
Why a copy-trading product needed a full rebuild
Parrot Finance runs a product where users follow vetted influencers and copy their trades, through a web app and a mobile app. It brought us a full rebuild of both rather than a change to one. One team would carry that rebuild from design through deployment, so accountability for the whole product sat with us instead of being split.
What Latent built
We built the web application, the mobile application and the backend behind them. Product design came first, then development, then deployment.
Important functionality
The platform pulls live market data through external APIs. The same APIs drive dynamic account features, so account activity and market data stay in step.
The outcome
Parrot holds the full codebase and can extend the product without us. That cuts dependency on outside teams. The product is faster and easier to maintain.
